The King Blues. We Salute You.

It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we must inform you, that as of today The King Blues are no more.

We are all immensely proud of our body of work. We will be releasing the last The King Blues album entitled ‘Long Live The Struggle’ as the final chapter. The album will be released in early July 2012

We simply feel we have taken things as far as they can go and it would be unfair on you if we were to go through the motions like so many other artists do. We all believe strongly in what The King Blues stands for.

Can we take this opportunity to thank you all so much for your support, love and passion down the years.

long live the struggle

in solidarity,

The King Blues

The King Blues, Camden Roundhouse, 2nd November 2011 <3

The King Blues, 2/11/2011

so on wednesday night i went to see TKB with my friend Abi. we went up town really early as we had standing tickets but as we were both injured we thought we’d try and swap for seated tickets, which luckily we could 🙂 when we got to camden we were like ”ohhh… where is everyone?” as there were like literally 10 people standing outside the venue! for those of you who don’t know who TKB are: http://www.kingblues.com/

They were supported by Broiler who are a German band and were pretty awesome 🙂 and then by Cerebal Ballzy. quite dissapointed about CB to be honest! on the radio they sound immense but their lead singer spat in the mic before he had even started singing so all we heard was feedback throughout their whole preformance!! then TKB came on and everything was epic 🙂 they sang a mixture of songs from their most recent album Punk and Poetry, a few songs from their previous album Save the World, Get the Girl, a few from their first album Under the Fog and upcoming releases. it was a shame that we weren’t standing as the atmosphere looked amazing! and right at the end, they wanted everyone to come on stage with them!

it was an amazing show, one of the few bands which sound as good live as they do on recordings! will have to see them again sometime soon!
